Hello, Mountain Mover!

Join us as we enter an exciting new chapter for Girls on the Run! This Fall, we are launching an updated version of our empowering curriculum. We call it Hello, Mountain Mover! These lessons support girls in building confidence through the same innovative, evidence-based blend of team discussions, movement-based games, and life skill-building activities. Our updated lessons also inspire participants to be confident when encountering obstacles and stick with them, even when it gets tough.

Teaching critical life skills is the cornerstone of our research-based programs. Through dedicated volunteer coaches, girls engage in activities that strengthen confidence, build self-worth, and help them to develop abilities, and connections to build healthy physical and mental habits that last long beyond the program.

Every Girls on the Run season, volunteer coaches foster empathy and acceptance by empowering participants to build strong connections with one another, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or beliefs. Throughout the program, girls learn to appreciate the beauty of diversity and grow into compassionate, and understanding, individuals.

This season, GOTR has 18 locations including 4 community sites at Recreation Centers! Registration is open and spots are limited. Our Fall season begins the week of September 23rd.

Are you interested in volunteering for Girls on the Run, but unable to commit to a season of coaching? We have plenty of opportunities to #Giveback. From community events, to "give back" days and cheering on runners at local events. We have a place for you! If you've never experienced the magic of a Girls on the Run celebratory 5K, that's another great way to show your support.

If you would like to be in the know of our upcoming events and opportunities, we invite you to complete the form at the link below under "One time opportunities", or another area that works best for you!
