The impact Girls on the Run makes is dependent on dedicated volunteers like you, who are committed and passionate about our mission and vision.
Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.
Junior Coaches are needed to inspire the next generation! Our Junior Coach program is for high school girls aged 16 to 18. Beyond serving as a role model to program participants, Junior Coaches work alongside Coaches, strengthening their leadership skills and gaining a sense of belonging and purpose.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Our end of season 5K provides a tangible sense of accomplishment to participants. To celebrate and make the experience one to remember, there are many opportunities to get involved.
Are you part of a group or organization that wants to make an impact on our community? Girls on the Run would love to have you get involved with our program. Here are few ways you can make a difference while working together.
The impact Girls on the Run makes is dependent on dedicated volunteers who are committed and passionate about our mission and vision. As we prepare for our Fall season, GOTR will be out in the community at local events, Back to School nights, outreach and resource booths, and Give Back events. If you can't but can't commit to a full season of coaching, but still want to support our work, we would LOVE to hear from you! Several of these volunteer opportunities are one time events that might be 2-4 hours!
Q:What do volunteers do at local community events?
A: We visit with families about our programs, and share info about how to bring GOTR to their schools, churches or Rec Centers. Many times, we will have a "shoe charm/friendship bracelet making station" for kids!
