We are excited to announce that recently, Girls on the Run Heart of Kansas received a generous donation from the Good Neighbor Fund to support the launch of our new and refreshed curriculum, Hello Superstar!  Prior to the launch, industry experts, participants, caregivers, coaches, and councils all provided feedback to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the participants that we serve by supporting their mental and physical health in our programming.

Numerous studies and reports have shown the decline in girls’ mental health and physical activity levels over the last decade. The world has changed, and the needs of girls and the pressures they face have intensified.

 Employees at Spirit are empowered to give back locally through the Good Neighbor Fund. Because of their generosity, we can provide our volunteer coaches with the tools that they need to support over 600 girls this year. Through meaningful, fun lessons and engaging activities, girls are encouraged girls to move and form healthy habits and life skills that last a lifetime.

The Good Neighbor Fund is a nonprofit organization funded through voluntary employee donations. The Fund is governed by an employee-elected board of directors for their local markets, primarily focusing on health and human services.
